SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Peter J. Hogan, formerly of Arlington
4 Heights; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was a native of Arlington Heights;
6 attended St. James School and graduated from St. Viator High
7 School in 1972; he then earned his business degree at Regis
8 College in Denver; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was elected to serve on the Arlington
10 Heights Village Board in 1987; he served less than one term
11 before his career took him to South Bend, Indiana; and
 
12     WHEREAS, During his tenure on the Arlington Heights Village
13 Board, Peter Hogan served on the Memorial and Fundraising
14 Committee of the Centennial Commission; as a member of the
15 commission, he helped to raise $400,000 to develop the
16 village's clock tower; today, his role in village government
17 lives on in a time capsule buried beneath the tower; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Peter Hogan formerly worked as vice president of
19 investments and assistant branch manager of Prudential
20 Securities in Schaumburg; he also managed assets for Prudential
21 Securities for 18 years and, since 2003, oversaw the

1 Jacksonville, Florida and Daytona Beach, Florida branch
2 operations of Wachovia Securities and A.G. Edwards & Sons; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Peter Hogan is survived by his wife of 28 years,
4 Deborah Hogan; his son, Kevin; his daughter, Siobhan Marie
5 Hogan; and his brothers, Joseph Hogan and Edward Hogan;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his family and friends, the passing of Peter J. Hogan; and be
10 it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Peter Hogan as an expression of our
13 sympathy.
