| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Angela J. Gantar of Waukegan, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 7, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on August 15, 1914 in North Chicago, |
| 6 |
| and married Victor Gantar on May 31, 1937 at Immaculate |
| 7 |
| Conception in Waukegan; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of Queen of Peace Church and |
| 9 |
| formerly Mother of God Church; she was also a member of SNPJ |
| 10 |
| and the Foss Park Senior Club; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She loved gardening and as recently as last summer |
| 12 |
| still tended to her garden; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; |
| 14 |
| her sister, Mary Eubanks; and her brother, Jack T. Jarc; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, She is survived by her children, Gerald (Beverley) |
| 16 |
| Gantar and Jean (Leslie) Bant; her grandchildren, Sarah Schmit |
| 17 |
| and Marc Bant; her two great-grandchildren, Justin and Lindsay |
| 18 |
| Schmit; her special friend, Loretta Hebior; her brother, Frank |
| 19 |
| S. Jarc; and her sister, Emily (Jarc) Senica; therefore, be it
