SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Jessie L. Rittof, who passed away on
4 December 29, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Jessie Rittof was born in Joliet; her parents were
6 Posco and Jennie (nee Blanco) Lagrimini; she was a lifelong
7 resident of Joliet and Channahon; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Jessie Rittof and her husband owned and operated
9 Rittof's Restaurant & Lounge for 26 years before their
10 retirement in 1987; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Jessie Rittof was a member of the St. Ann Catholic
12 Church in Channahon; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Jessie Rittof was preceded in death by her
14 parents; her son, Frederick Rittof; her brother, Lawrence
15 Lagrimini; her brother who passed away in infancy; her sister,
16 Elizabeth "Betty" Costiloe; and her several brothers-in-law
17 and sisters-in-law; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Jessie Rittof is survived by her loving husband of
19 65 years, Edward R. "Beans" Rittof, Sr.; her sons, Edward
20 (Brenda) Rittof, Paul (Pamela) Rittof , and Michael Rittof; her

1 daughter-in-law, Colleen Rittof; her grandchildren, Robert
2 Rittof, Frederick (Tracie) Rittof, Kathy (Dr. William, M.D.)
3 Kosmala, Edward Rittof, Donald Rittof, Jennifer (fiance, Brian
4 Kursell) Rittof, Christine (Brad) Lackey, Jennifer Hutson,
5 Marissa Rittof, and Anthony Rittof; her great-grandchildren,
6 Cameron and Owen Kosmala and Jonathan and Alexis Lackey; her
7 brother-in-law, Leonard (Beatrice) Rittof; and her numerous
8 nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Beth Ann
9 Boyer; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 her family and friends, the passing of Jessie L. Rittof; and be
13 it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Jessie L. Rittof as an expression of
16 our sympathy.
