SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 Appropriates $5,029,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Public Schools Teachers’ Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5.  AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 96-0042, approved July 15, 2009, is amended by adding new Section 11 of Article 70 as follows:

    (P.A. 96-0042, Art. 70, Sec. 10)

Sec. 11.  In addition to any amounts previously appropriated for this purpose, the amount of $5,029,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Public School Teachers’ Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago for the State’s contribution for retirement contributions under Section 17-127 of the Pension Code for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect immediately.
