HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of  
3
Representatives are pleased to honor Pablo Elizondo Garcia for 
4
his wonderful work as Mayor of the City of Montemorelos, 
5
Mexico; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Pablo Elizondo Garcia was born on July 19, 1971, 
7
in Monterrey, Mexico; he attended preschool and elementary 
8
school at the Science Institute in Motolinia, Mexico; after 
9
attending middle school at Antonio G. de la Garza, he attended 
10
high school at the Universidad Regiomontana Veterinarian High 
11
School; he then continued his studies at the Universidad 
12
Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) in the division of Veterinarian 
13
Medicine, earning his title in 1993; he also took 6 semesters 
14
of accounting at the Universidad Regiomontana and obtained a 
15
diploma in international commerce at UANL; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, In addition to his work as Mayor, Pablo Elizondo 
17
Garcia has worked in numerous professions, including 
18
automobile and grocery sales; he also created a chain of 
19
self-service stores called Don Despensa; and
  
 
20
    WHEREAS, Pablo Elizondo Garcia married his lovely wife, 
21
Sandra Salazar Garcia, in September of 1995; together, they 
22
have 3 wonderful children, Pablo, Eugenio, and Maria Fernanda;

    WHEREAS, Pablo Elizondo Garcia's fantastic work ethic and 
3
compassion for his fellow man makes him a role model for the 
4
people of Montemorelos, Mexico and the State of Illinois; 
5
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8
honor Pablo Elizondo Garcia for his wonderful work as Mayor of 
9
the City of Montemorelos, Mexico; and be it further
  
 
10
    RESOLVED, That we welcome Pablo Elizondo Garcia to the 
11
State of Illinois during his visit to Cicero; and be it further
 
12
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to Pablo Elizondo Garcia as a symbol of our esteem 
14
and respect.
