HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor Rosalie Isaacson of 
4
Chicago for the many years of dedicated service she has given 
5
to her community, to senior citizens, and to the Jane Addams 
6
Senior Caucus; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Rosalie Isaacson has dedicated much of her life to 
8
unselfishly serving others, is always willing to listen, is 
9
willing to evaluate problems and assist in finding solutions; 
10
her career began at the Jane Addams Center working with various 
11
ethnic and economically challenged individuals; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, She later assisted Ruth Shriman, working on health 
13
care issues for senior citizens within the community, raising 
14
money for an emergency pantry, successfully obtaining a 
15
first-time Prescription Drug Discount Program, working on the 
16
White Crane Wellness Program, and raising money to fund plays 
17
and shows for Affordable Entertainment venues; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, When the Jane Addams Senior Caucus was 
19
incorporated in 1976, Rosalie Isaacson worked closely with Ruth 
20
Shriman, often without salary, to obtain the necessary funding 
21
to build the organization and continue its successes; and

    WHEREAS, To this date, Rosalie Isaacson continues to give 
2
of her time, talent, patience, and compassion to the services 
3
of Jane Addams Senior Caucus, to her community, and to the goal 
4
of maintaining quality and equality in the lives of senior 
5
citizens; and
 
6
    WHEREAS, Prior to her full-time involvement with the 
7
services at the Jane Addams Center and Jane Addams Senior 
8
Caucus, Rosalie Isaacson worked at nursing homes in Skokie, 
9
assisting seniors with activities of therapeutic exercise and 
10
other classes, as well as inspiring and motivating both 
11
patients and peers; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Rosalie Isaacson serves as a model of hard work, 
13
integrity, commitment, and dedication for the people of the 
14
State of Illinois; therefore, be it

 
15
    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
16
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
17
honor Rosalie Isaacson for her many years of dedicated service 
18
to others and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; 
19
and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
21
presented to Rosalie Isaacson as a symbol of our respect.
