Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Sex Offender Registration Act. Requires a person registering as a sex offender or sexual predator to provide the Department of State Police with his or her telephone number, including cellular telephone number.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
730 ILCS 150/6from Ch. 38, par. 226

Further amends the Sex Offender Registration Act. Provides that a sex offender, other than a sexually dangerous or sexually violent person, shall report in person a change in telephone number or cellular telephone number with the appropriate law enforcement agency within 3 days after the change and the law enforcement agency shall notify the Department of State Police of such change within 3 days of the reporting in person by the sex offender to the law enforcement agency.
