SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach, who passed away 
4
on November 30, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was born in Beijing, 
6
China; her parents were the late John Herman and Mary Bushnell 
7
Wylie; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was an active member of 
9
Union Church, the Progress Club, the American Association of 
10
University Women, the Women's Club, and the Hospital Auxiliary; 
11
and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach was preceded in death by 
13
her husbands, the Reverend Carl Eschbach and the Reverend 
14
Donald Zimmerman; her sister, Sarah E. Wylie; and her daughter, 
15
Margaret Eschbach Freeman; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach is survived by her 
17
children, Sally "Sarah" Zimmerman, Richard C. Zimmerman, James 
18
Eschbach, and Bob Eschbach; her sister, Martha Pride; her 
19
brother, John H. (Mary) Wylie Jr.; and her six grandchildren 
20
and 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
her family and friends, the passing of Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach; 
4
and be it further

 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Ruth Zimmerman Eschbach as an 
7
expression of our sympathy.
