SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Milt F. Schonebaum of Carlinville, who 
4
passed away on December 11, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Milt F. Schonebaum was born May 25, 1925, in 
6
Danville, the son of Clarence and Ottilia Demmin Schonebaum; 
7
and

 
8
    WHEREAS, He married Rosemary Thiede on August 21, 1949, at 
9
Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Mr. Schonebaum was a United States Navy veteran of 
11
World War II; he received his Bachelor of Arts from Eastern 
12
Illinois University and his Master of Arts in education from 
13
the University of Illinois; he taught and coached in the 
14
Carlinville school system for 38 years; he was a member of Zion 
15
Lutheran Church, Guy Baird American Legion Post 554, and the 
16
Carlinville Lions Club; and he enjoyed fishing and golf; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and

 
18
    WHEREAS,

Milt Schonebaum is survived by his wife, Rosie 
19
Schonebaum; his daughter, Lori Schonebaum; his niece; and his 
20
nephew; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
his family and friends, the passing of Milt Schonebaum; and be 
4
it further

 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Milt F. Schonebaum as a symbol of 
7
our sincere sympathy.
