| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of
Laura Caffey of Alton, who passed away on |
| 4 |
| October 14, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Laura Caffey was born on January 27, 1937; her |
| 6 |
| parents were Frank and Sudie (Dixon) Stockard; she was formerly |
| 7 |
| married to Benny Caffey of Alton; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Laura Caffey was a loving mother and homemaker; |
| 9 |
| and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Laura Caffey was preceded in death by her parents; |
| 11 |
| her daughter, Cynthia Stockard; her son, Darryl Thomas; her |
| 12 |
| sisters, Dorothy Hickman and Ann Spearman; and her brother, |
| 13 |
| Frank Stockard; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Laura Caffey is survived by her son, Gregory K. |
| 15 |
| Stockard; her daughters, Appollonia and Ashley Caffey; her |
| 16 |
| grandchildren, Akira, Gregory, Zandrea, and Cashmeria; her |
| 17 |
| brother, Johnny Mack Donlow; her sister, Ruth Green; her |
| 18 |
| godson, Terrial Clark Butler; and her many nieces, nephews, |
| 19 |
| cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
