| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of David Michael Freer of Brighton, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on September 11, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, David Michael Freer was born October 18, 1972, in |
| 6 |
| Stuttgart, Germany to Steven Michael and Margaret (Ives) Freer |
| 7 |
| of Godfrey; he was a graduate of Ranken Technical College in |
| 8 |
| St. Louis; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He was president of Freer Auto Body and |
| 10 |
| Accessories, Inc. in Godfrey, which he opened in 1991; he |
| 11 |
| married Cathy E. Baker on May 6, 1995, in Alton; they attended |
| 12 |
| Westminster Presbyterian Church in Godfrey; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, |
| 14 |
| Arnold Freer Jr. and Paul Ives Sr.; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, David Freer is survived by his wife, Cathy; his |
| 16 |
| parents, Steven and Margaret Freer; his son, Carson Michael |
| 17 |
| Freer; his brother and his wife, Timothy and Carrie Freer; his |
| 18 |
| grandmothers, Audra "Jean" Freer and Sophia Ives; his two |
| 19 |
| nieces, Taylor and Lily Freer; his in-laws, Tony and Dianna |
| 20 |
| Baker and Peggy Baker and Steve Davis; his sister-in-law, Tammy |
| 21 |
| Rowe and her husband, David; and his brother-in-law, Rick |
