SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Reverend Duane Edward Heap, who passed 
4
away on July 14, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap was born on December 4, 1924 
6
in Joliet; his parents were Otto and Ruth Heap; he married Pat 
7
Buster in 1949; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap served for 46 years as a 
9
Presbyterian pastor at churches in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and 
10
Illinois until his retirement in 1991; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap was preceded in death by his 
12
daughter, Janet Lynn; his parents; his sister, Barbara; and his 
13
brother, William; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap is survived by his wife, Pat; 
15
his children, David and his wife, Jeri, Mark and his wife, 
16
Tari, Robert and his wife, Jane, Scott, and Nancy and her 
17
husband, Doug; his nine grandchildren; and his sisters, 
18
Alfredda and Norma; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
20
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

his family and friends, the passing of Reverend Duane Edward

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to the family of Reverend Duane Heap as an expression
