SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Randy Whittington of Sesser, who passed 
4
away on May 21, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was born on April 30, 1955 in 
6
Benton; he was the son of John and Earlene (Odom) Whittington; 
7
he married Judy Dame on December 20, 1975 in Benton; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Randy Whittington and his wife were the owners and 
9
operators of Randy Whittington Trucking in Sesser; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was a member of the First Church 
11
of the Nazarene in Benton; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was preceded in death by his 
13
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norma and Lowell Dame; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Randy Whittington is survived by his wife, Judy 
15
Whittington; his sons, Brian Whittington and wife, Alisha 
16
"Ali", and Brandon Whittington; his parents, John and Earlene 
17
Whittington; his brothers and sisters, Doris Cook and husband, 
18
Gary, Joy Habeeb and husband, Habeeb, Jan Myers and husband, 
19
Steve, Kevin Whittington and wife, Sharyl, Jeff Whittington and 
20
wife, Tana, and Ron Whittington and wife, Denise; his

brothers-in-law, Jim Dame and wife, Jodie, and Jerry Dame and

wife, Joyce; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be

it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Randy Whittington; and 
7
be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Randy Whittington as an expression 
10
of our sympathy.
