| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Richard McHugh of Joliet, who passed away |
| 4 |
| on April 11, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Richard McHugh was a member of the Irish American |
| 6 |
| Society of Will County, Holy Name Society, Men of St. Joseph's, |
| 7 |
| and Holy Trinity Council of the Knights of Columbus (4400); he |
| 8 |
| was the Director of the Will-South Cook Soil and Water |
| 9 |
| Conservation District; and he was a proud alumnus of the |
| 10 |
| University of Notre Dame (1942); and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Richard E. McHugh was preceded in death by his |
| 12 |
| parents, Thomas E. and Agnes McHugh, his wife of 59 years, |
| 13 |
| Florence L. (nee Blackburn) McHugh, his brother, Franklin |
| 14 |
| (Blanche) McHugh, and his sister, Monica (Ed) Rygel; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Richard McHugh is survived by his four children; |
| 16 |
| Richard (Barbara), Michael (Mary), Terrence (Joan), and Brien |
| 17 |
| (Kathy); his fourteen grandchildren; his eight great |
| 18 |
| grandchildren; and his numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, |
| 19 |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
