SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Leo C. Hamlin of Wood River, who passed
4 away on November 29, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Leo C. Hamlin was born April 25, 1930, in
6 Leasburg, Missouri, to Courtney and Laura (Brown) Hamlin; and
 
7     WHEREAS, He married the former Shirley Jean Laughlin on
8 September 7, 1954, in Jacksonville; she died June 5, 2007; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He owned and operated Alton Floor Sanding Service
10 and retired as manager of Great Central Lumber Company in
11 Alton; he was a 45-year member of Franklin Masonic Lodge 25,
12 VFW Post 1308, American Legion Post 126, and the Alton-Wood
13 River Sportsman Club; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Leo Hamlin is survived by his daughter and her
15 fiance, Kimberly A. Gibson and Cris Brinkman; his two sons and
16 daughters-in-law, Brad L. and Vicki M. Hamlin and David C. and
17 Jennifer Hamlin; his five grandchildren, Joshua Hamlin, Traci
18 Baumgartner, Nicole Hudson, Baylee Hamlin, and Breckyn Hamlin;
19 and his three great-grandchildren, Dalton Baumgartner, and
20 Bryan and Koby Hudson; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3 his family and friends, the passing of Leo Hamlin; and be it
4 further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Leo Hamlin as a symbol of our
7 sincere sympathy.
