| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Margaret A. Woodside of Springfield, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on October 27, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Margaret Woodside was born on June 24, 1930 in |
| 6 |
| Springfield; her parents were Elmer Sr. and Alice McGuire |
| 7 |
| Townsend; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She married Oliver "Gene" Woodside on January 25, |
| 9 |
| 1948; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver |
| 11 |
| "Gene" Woodside; her brothers, Robert and Bernard Townsend; and |
| 12 |
| her sisters, Mary Eleanor Thompson and Alice Reid; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Margaret Woodside is survived by her children, |
| 14 |
| Richard (Robin) Woodside, Joseph (Katherine) Woodside, David |
| 15 |
| (Heather) Woodside, Judy Belknap, Louise Knox, Linda Anderson, |
| 16 |
| and Jean Ann Woodside; her thirteen grandchildren; her six |
| 17 |
| great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Dorr; and her |
| 18 |
| brothers, Elmer (Laura) Townsend, and Don (Becky) Townsend; |
| 19 |
