2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of
Louis L. Brown of Anna, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on October 17, 2007; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown was born on April 3, 1924 in Anna; | ||||||
6 | he was the son of Homer and Ollie Winn Brown; he married | ||||||
7 | Dorothy Mae Lewis on July 23, 1968 in Anna; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown served in the United States Marines | ||||||
9 | during World War II; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown owned and operated Brown's Body | ||||||
11 | Shop in Jonesboro for many years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown was a member of Landmark | ||||||
13 | Pentecostal Church and the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the | ||||||
14 | VFW in Anna; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown was an avid squirrel hunter and a | ||||||
16 | die hard St. Louis Cardinals fan; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown was preceded in death by his | ||||||
18 | parents, Homer and Ollie, and his sister, Opal Smith; and

1 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown is survived by his wife, Dorothy; | ||||||
2 | his children, Marianne Dillow and Rhonda (Mike) Shannon; his | ||||||
3 | sister, Leta Mae Dirden; his grandchildren, Alaina Shannon, | ||||||
4 | David (Robin) Shannon, and Brent Shannon; his | ||||||
5 | great-grandchildren, Constance, Ethan, and Breanna Shannon; | ||||||
6 | his nieces and nephews; and his other relatives and many | ||||||
7 | friends; and | ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Louis L. Brown will be remembered by all who knew | ||||||
9 | and loved him as a devoted family man; therefore, be it
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | ||||||
11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
12 | his family and friends, the passing of Louis L. Brown; and be | ||||||
13 | it further

14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
15 | presented to the family of Louis L. Brown as an expression of | ||||||
16 | our sympathy.
