| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of
Steve Williams, who passed away on |

| September 28, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Steve Williams was born on July 15, 1959; his |
| 6 |
| parents were Eugene Sr. and Susie Williams; he attended |
| 7 |
| Beethoven Elementary School and DuSable High School; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Steve Williams was preceded in death by his |
| 9 |
| parents, Eugene Sr. and Susie; and his brother, Robert |
| 10 |
| Williams; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Steve Williams is survived by his loving wife, |
| 12 |
| Verna Williams; his sons, Steve (Emerick) and Stevan; his |
| 13 |
| daughters, Arquilla, Angela, and Angelic; his grandchildren, |
| 14 |
| Steve III, Guchquita, Lavetta, Jasmine, Timmie, Trevon, and |
| 15 |
| Tyler; his sisters, Hattie (Lott) and Estella (Benjamin); his |
| 16 |
| brothers, Eugene Jr. (Darcelle), Michael, and Raymond |
| 17 |
| (Lucille); and his uncle, David (Eva) Williams; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Steve Williams will be remembered by all who knew |
| 19 |
| and loved him as a hard worker with a great personality and as |
| 20 |
| a eminently dependable person who always kept his word, no |
| 21 |
| matter the cost; therefore, be it
