SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Kevin Sitton of Troy, who passed away on 
4
September 6, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was born on July 5, 1974, in Granite 
6
City; his parents were Mary Jane (Gray) and Paul W. Sitton; he 
7
married Jill Renee Hellrich on December 21, 2002 at St. Francis 
8
Xavier Church in St. Louis, Missouri; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was  a graduate of Granite City High 
10
School; he worked in the Madison County Circuit Clerk's office 
11
before joining the Madison County Sheriff's Department in 1996, 
12
where he served faithfully until his death; and
 
13
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was a member of the Granite City Elk 
14
Lodge 1063 and the Granite City American Legion Tri-City Post 
15
113; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time 
16
with his family and friends; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton was preceded in death by his father, 
18
Paul; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton is survived by his wife, Jill Renee; 
20
his mother, Mary Jane; his daughters, Rylee and Elaina Sitton;

his brother, Steve (Carrie) Sitton; his grandmother, Vela 
2
Sitton; his nieces and nephews, Drake, Emma, and Cole Sitton; 
3
his mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Joyce Hellrich; 
4
his aunts and uncles; and many other extended family members 
5
and friends; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Kevin Sitton will be remembered by all who knew 
7
and loved him as a kind and industrious person who would do 
8
anything to help others; therefore, be it

 
9
    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
10
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
11
his family and friends, the passing of Kevin Sitton; and be it 
12
further

 
13
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
presented to the family of Kevin Sitton as an expression of our 
15
sympathy.
