| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 |
| learn of the death of Lucie Lee Wade-Williams of North Chicago, |
4 |
| who passed away on August 11, 2007; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Lucie Lee Wade-Williams was born on March 6, 1936 |
6 |
| in Marion, Arkansas; her parents were Annie Mae McEwen and Fred |
7 |
| Mabins; she married her first husband, Fountain Wade Jr. on |
8 |
| January 20, 1952; he preceded her in death; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Lucie Lee Wade-Williams and her husband relocated |
10 |
| to North Chicago in July of 1957, where they raised their |
11 |
| family; she retired from American Motors in Kenosha, Wisconsin |
12 |
| in 1991 after 18 years of service; after her retirement, she |
13 |
| served as a crossing guard for the City of Lake Forest for 10 |
14 |
| years; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Lucie Lee Wade-Williams was a faithful member of |
16 |
| the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the |
17 |
| Mother's Board until her health prevented her from serving; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, Lucie Lee Wade-Williams was preceded in death by |
19 |
| her parents; her daughters, Pearl and Carolynn Wade-McMurtry; |
20 |
| and her grandsons, Damien Thompson and Morris Wade Jr.; and
|
|

| of 20 years, Ira Williams Sr.; her loving sister, Jean (Isiah) |

| Franklin; her cousin, Louise Baylor; her stepmother, Sylvia |

| Mabins; her aunt, Mary Mabins; her daughters, Joann (Larry) |
5 |
| Carpenter, Evelynn (Ralph) Peterson, Debra Farris, and Tina |
6 |
| Hupp; her sons, Morris Wade Sr., Lawrence Wade Sr., Steven Wade |
7 |
| Sr., Michael (Angela) Wade, Gregory Wade, Gerard (Sheree) Wade |
8 |
| Jr., Edward Williams, and Ira (Renee) Williams; her nephews, |
9 |
| Cedric (Terrye) Baylor and Aaron Baylor; her 28 grandchildren; |
10 |
| her 23 great grandchildren; her niece; a host of other |
11 |
| relatives and friends; her goddaughter, Lynn Gary; her special |
12 |
| son, Reverend Eugene Roberson; and her very special friends, |
13 |
| George Pullum, Bricia Sullivan, Ernestine Smith, and Mary |
14 |
| Spencer; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
16 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
17 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Lucie Lee Wade-Williams; |
18 |
| and be it further
|
19 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 |
| presented to the family of Lucie Lee Wade-Williams as an |
21 |
| expression of our sympathy.
