SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Henry S. Biedron of North Chicago, who
4 passed away on March 28, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Henry S. Biedron was born on January 24, 1919 in
6 North Chicago; his parents were Stanley and Karolina (Wydra)
7 Biedron; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Henry S. Biedron was a graduate of Waukegan
9 Township High School in 1937; he was an air cadet at Great
10 Lakes; he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1940
11 to 1945 and was assigned to the USS J. Douglas Blackwood, a
12 destroyer escort in the Pacific; after the war, he married
13 Margaret Farrant on June 12, 1948 at Annunciation Catholic
14 Church in Frankfort, Kansas; he retired as an accountant with
15 Fansteel, Inc. in 1987, after 37 years of employment; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Henry S. Biedron was a member and lector at Queen
17 of Peace Church in North Chicago; he was a member of the
18 American Legion, the Northern Illinois Destroyer Escort
19 Association, the National Destroyer Escort Association, the
20 Stick & Rudder Club at the Waukegan Airport, the Experimental
21 Airplane Association of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Airplane
22 Owners Pilots Associations, the Family Members of Women in

1 Aviation, Knights of Columbus #731, and the Greater North
2 Chicago Senior Citizen's Club; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Henry S. Biedron was preceded in death by his
4 brother, Aloysius; his sisters, Sophie Phillips and Cecilia
5 Neyrinck; and his parents; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Henry S. Biedron is survived by his wife,
7 Margaret; his three sons, John G. (Jackie), Henry S.
8 (Patricia), and Chris (Millie) Biedron; his grandchildren,
9 Nichole, Peter, Lindsey, and Caroline; and his sister, Mary
10 Loser; therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13 his family and friends, the passing of Henry S. Biedron; and be
14 it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Henry S. Biedron as an expression of
17 our sympathy.
