| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Roland Frank "Buzz" Croxton of Alton, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on May 4, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born August 16, 1934, in Alton to Frank L. |
| 6 |
| and Elizabeth M. (Schollmeier) Croxton; he married Ruth Ann |
| 7 |
| Terlisner on June 2, 1956, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in |
| 8 |
| Alton; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2006; |
| 9 |
| and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS,
He graduated in 1952 from Marquette Catholic High |
| 11 |
| School, then completed training in the carpenter trade; he was |
| 12 |
| a self-employed finish carpenter his entire working career at |
| 13 |
| Croxton Tile and Cabinet Company in Alton, with his partner and |
| 14 |
| uncle, Glenn K. Croxton; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Roland Croxton was an avid and natural outdoorsman |
| 16 |
| and had a passion for hunting and fishing; he was a lifelong |
| 17 |
| member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton and the |
| 18 |
| Alton Knights of Columbus; he was an active assistant leader in |
| 19 |
| Alton's Boy Scout Troop 121; and he was also a longtime member |
| 20 |
| of the Alton-Wood River Sportsman's Club in Godfrey; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and a |
|

| grandson, T. Michael Croxton; and
|

| WHEREAS, Roland Frank "Buzz" Croxton is survived by his |
| 3 |
| wife, Ruth Ann; his son, Thomas F. and his spouse, Katherine L. |
| 4 |
| (Moore) Croxton, and their children, Becky and Tony; his son, |
| 5 |
| Timothy J. and his spouse, E. Christine (Funkhouser) Croxton, |
| 6 |
| and their deceased son Michael's daughter, Ashley Croxton; |
| 7 |
| their daughter Elizabeth C. (Croxton) and her spouse, Samuel D. |
| 8 |
| Zangori, and their daughter, Abbigail; their sons, Gregory and |
| 9 |
| Titus Croxton; his daughter, Catherine M. (Croxton) and her |
| 10 |
| spouse, Richard E. Blevens Jr., and their children, Allyson |
| 11 |
| Blevens and her fiance, Michael Beaber, Audrey, Anna, Richard, |
| 12 |
| and Nick Blevens; his son, William M. and his spouse, Dr. Mary |
| 13 |
| Saale-Croxton, and their children, Brent, Robert, Claire, and |
| 14 |
| Eileen Croxton; his son, Patrick E. and his spouse, Adriane J. |
| 15 |
| (Berry) Croxton, and their children, Jonathon and Emily |
| 16 |
| Croxton; his sister, Norma E. (Croxton), and her spouse, H. |
| 17 |
| Wayne Fisher; his brother and sisters-in-law; his 16 |
| 18 |
| grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and his many nieces |
| 19 |
| and nephews; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |

| his family and friends, the passing of Roland Frank "Buzz" |
