SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Daryl Linn Wolford of Chicago, who passed
4 away on March 19, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Daryl Wolford was born on February 24, 1954 to
6 Edwin and Ona Leverne Wolford; and he was baptized at Sixth
7 Grace Presbyterian Church; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He showed an early love for music while he was
9 enrolled at St. Joseph's Military Academy, where he played
10 percussion and took guitar lessons; after graduation he
11 attended St. Bedes Academy in Peru, where he played football on
12 the Bruins; he then attended DePaul University before enlisting
13 in the United States Navy; he graduated as an Honorary Recruit
14 and served eight years as a Submariner; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Daryl Wolford traveled the world, returning to
16 Chicago and taking a position in sales and marketing; he met
17 and married Cheryl Quarnstrom, and together they had six
18 children; Daryl and Cheryl started The Lynn Company, a
19 furniture store named after the family, all sharing the middle
20 name of Lynn; although he and Cheryl later divorced, they built
21 their dream of a beautiful family; and

1     WHEREAS, Daryl accepted the position of Vice President of
2 Marketing and Sales at Wardens in Modesto, California in 1999;
3 he met a lovely woman named Louise and her children, Max and
4 Sophie; he later married Louise and began a new life with her;
5 and
 
6     WHEREAS, Daryl Wolford is survived by his wife, Louise; his
7 children, Kyle, Kelly, Eric, Erin, Evan, Bryan, Max, and
8 Sophie; his mother, Leverne; his father, Edward; and many
9 relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
10     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
11 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12 his family and friends, the passing of Daryl Linn Wolford; and
13 be it further
 
14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 presented to the family of Daryl Linn Wolford as a symbol of
16 our sympathy.
