SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Bette P. Brinkoetter of Godfrey, who
4 passed away on March 12, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Bette Brinkoetter was born June 12, 1921, in
6 Hutchinson, Kansas; her parents were Archie and Pauline
7 (Hickman) Kimball; she married Walter D. Brinkoetter on May 4,
8 1946, at the St. James Catholic Church in Decatur; he passed
9 away on January 6, 1963; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Bette Brinkoetter was employed as a teacher for 28
11 years in the Alton School District until 1985, then taught for
12 six years at Ss. Peter and Paul until 1991; she was a member of
13 Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Altar Society; and
 
14     WHEREAS, She loved to garden, do arts and crafts,
15 especially painting, and play golf, and she helped at the
16 Senior Center Food Bank and Food Pantry in Alton; and
 
17     WHEREAS, In addition to her husband, Bette Brinkoetter was
18 preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sue Ann
19 Brinkoetter; and her son-in-law, Laurent Visconti ; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Bette Brinkoetter is survived by her daughters and

1 sons-in-law, Emily J. and Neil Schulz, Donna M. and Rod
2 Johnson, Laura J. Brinkoetter, and Mary B.
3 Brinkoetter-Visconti; her grandchildren, Joseph, Ben and Andy
4 Schulz, Matthew and Martha Johnson, Anders and Noah Torjesen,
5 and Luke, Nicolas and Clair Visconti; her other extended
6 family; and her many dear friends; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 her family and friends, the passing of Bette P. Brinkoetter;
10 and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Bette Brinkoetter as a symbol of our
13 sympathy.
