| SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 26
|

| WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, the Joint Task |
| 3 |
| Force on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Options |
| 4 |
| (hereinafter referred to as the Joint Task Force) was created |
| 5 |
| by House Joint Resolution 43 and was established to undertake a |
| 6 |
| comprehensive and thorough review of education and services |
| 7 |
| available to the deaf or hard-of-hearing children in Illinois; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force was to report its findings |
| 10 |
| and recommendations to the General Assembly no later than |
| 11 |
| January 1, 2007; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, As of the required reporting date, the Joint Task |
| 13 |
| Force's work is still ongoing and further investigation is |
| 14 |
| needed prior to the preparation and submission of its report; |
| 15 |
| therefore, be it
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
| 17 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 18 |
| CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Joint Task Force on Deaf and Hard |
| 19 |
| of Hearing Education Options, organized pursuant to House Joint |
| 20 |
| Resolution 43 of the 94th General Assembly, is hereby |
| 21 |
| reconstituted; and be it further
