SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 2

    WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, Senate Joint 
3
Resolution 91 created the Joint Task Force on the College 
4
Insurance Program (hereinafter referred to as the Joint Task 
5
Force) to investigate the current state of the College 
6
Insurance Program established under Section 6.9 of the State 
7
Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971 and consider the 
8
inclusion of the retirees of the City Colleges of Chicago; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force was to report its findings 
10
and recommendations to the General Assembly by October 31, 
11
2006; and

    WHEREAS, As of the required reporting date, the Joint Task 
13
Force's work is still ongoing and further investigation is 
14
needed prior to the preparation and submission of its report; 
15
therefore, be it
 
16
    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
17
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 
18
CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Joint Task Force on the College 
19
Insurance Program, organized pursuant to Senate Joint 
20
Resolution 91 of the 94th General Assembly, is hereby 
21
reconstituted; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That the Joint Task Force shall be comprised of 
2
those persons appointed pursuant to Senate Joint Resolution 91 
3
of the 94th General Assembly until such time as those 
4
appointing authorities established in that resolution appoint 
5
different persons to the Joint Task Force; and be it further
 
6
    RESOLVED, That the Joint Task Force shall have the 
7
authority, duties, and purposes set forth in Senate Joint 
8
Resolution 91 of the 94th General Assembly; and be it further
 
9
    RESOLVED, That no later than December 31, 2008, the Joint 
10
Task Force shall report to the General Assembly its findings 
11
and recommendations; the Joint Task Force shall be dissolved 
12
after the filing of the report; and be it further
 
13
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
delivered to the Governor, the Director of the Governor's 
15
Office of Management and Budget, the Chancellor of the City 
16
Colleges of Chicago, and the Chairperson of the Illinois 
17
Community College Board.
