Appropriates $2,700,000 to the Department of Corrections for a grant to the Cook County Sheriff's Office for programs administered through the Department of Women's Justice Services, for the Cook County Residential Treatment and Transition Center for Women. Effective July 1, 2008.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $2,700,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Corrections for a grant to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office for programs administered through the Department of Women’s Justice Services, for the Cook County Residential Treatment and Transition Center for Women, including but not limited to, mental health and drug rehabilitation issues.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2008.
