| AN ACT concerning education.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 3-35 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (110 ILCS 805/3-35) (from Ch. 122, par. 103-35)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 3-35. Building availability; emergency purposes; |
| 8 |
| cooperation with agencies. To make the buildings of the college |
| 9 |
| available for emergency purposes, upon the request of the |
| 10 |
| Illinois Emergency Management Agency or the State-accredited |
| 11 |
| emergency management agency with jurisdiction use as civil
|
| 12 |
| defense shelters for all persons, and to cooperate in all |
| 13 |
| matters with the Illinois Emergency
Management Agency, local |
| 14 |
| emergency management agencies, State-certified, local public |
| 15 |
| health departments, the American Red Cross organizations for
|
| 16 |
| civil defense, and
federal agencies concerned with emergency |
| 17 |
| preparedness and response civil defense in all matters.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
