AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2562

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2562, AS AMENDED, 
3
in Section 5, in the introductory clause,  by replacing "Section 
4
2.33c" with "Sections 1.13 and 2.33c"; and
 
5
in Section 5, immediately below the introductory clause, by 
6
inserting the following:

    "(520 ILCS 5/1.13)  (from Ch. 61, par. 1.13)

    Sec. 1.13. The Department is authorized to issue a "Public 
9
Hunting Grounds
for Waterfowl" daily usage stamp at a fee not 
10
to exceed $10
for duck hunting areas, and not to exceed $15 for 
11
Canada goose
hunting areas; and assess a daily "Public Hunting 
12
Grounds for Pheasants" fee daily usage
stamp not to exceed $25 
13
($35 for non-residents) in 2008 and increasing by $5 every 
14
third year until the maximum fee is $50 ($60 for non-residents) 
15
$15, such stamp to expire at the end of the day of issue.
Each 
16
person shall obtain such a stamp from the Department to be

attached
to the permit card
assigned to a person, or pay the 
2
daily fee to hunt pheasants, under the provisions of the rules 
3
and regulations made
by the Department for the operation of 
4
State Public Hunting Grounds.

    The Department is authorized to permit hunters to harvest 
6
both male and
female hand reared pheasants released on such 
7
public hunting grounds.

    The Department shall cause an administrative rule, setting

9
forth the rules
and regulations for the operation of Public 
10
Hunting Areas on lands and waters
owned or leased by this 
11
State.

immediately below Section 5, by inserting the following:

    "Section 99. Effective date. This Section and the changes 
15
to Section 1.13 of the Wildlife Code  take effect upon becoming 
16
law.".
