SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $250,000 for FY08 and $250,000 for FY09 from the General Revenue Fund to the Criminal Justice Information Authority for costs and expenses related to a capital punishment reform study committee. Effective immediately for FY08, and effective July 1, 2008 for FY09.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Criminal Justice Information Authority for FY08 for costs and expenses related to a capital punishment reform study committee.
Section 10. The sum of $250,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Criminal Justice Information Authority for FY09 for costs and expenses related to a capital punishment reform study committee.
Section 99. Effective date. This Section and Section 5 take effect upon becoming law. Section 10 takes effect on July 1, 2008.
