SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
ARTICLE 1
Section 5. The sum of $358,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services in support of The Illinois Covered Initiative.
Section 10. The sum of $16,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to provide grants for healthcare system improvements.
Section 15. The sum of $90,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services for expenses related to or arising from medical practitioner rate increases.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
