| AN ACT concerning regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nail
|
5 |
| Technology Act of 1985 is amended by changing Section 4-8 as |
6 |
| follows:
|

| Sec. 4-8. Persons in need of
mental treatment. The
The

| determination by a circuit
court that a licensee is
subject to |
11 |
| involuntary admission or judicial admission as provided
in the |
12 |
| Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code operates as |
13 |
| an
automatic suspension. Such suspension shall end only upon a |
14 |
| finding
by a court that the patient is no longer subject to |
15 |
| involuntary
admission or judicial admission and issues an order |
16 |
| so finding and
discharging the patient; and upon the |
17 |
| recommendation of the
Committee to the Director that the |
18 |
| licensee be allowed to
resume his practice. |
