Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(e) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby return

Senate Bill 1553, entitled “AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.” with the following specific recommendations for change:

on page 1, line 13 through 15 by deleting “The 3 physicians selected by the board need not agree as to the existence of any disability or the nature and extent of a disability.”

With this change, Senate Bill 1553 will have my approval. I respectfully request your concurrence.
