    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The One Day Rest In Seven Act is amended by

changing Section 1 as follows:

    Sec. 1.

The words and phrases mentioned in this section, as

used in this Act,
and in proceedings pursuant hereto shall, 
10
unless the same be inconsistent
with the context, be construed

as follows:

    "Employer" shall mean a person, partnership, joint stock 
13
company or
corporation, which employs any person to work, labor 
14
or exercise skill in
connection with the operation of any 
15
business, industry, vocation or
occupation.
