| AN ACT concerning employment.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1700 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (820 ILCS 405/1700) (from Ch. 48, par. 610)

| Sec. 1700. Duties and powers of Director. It shall be the
|
| 8 |
| the duty of the
Director to administer this Act. To effect such |
| 9 |
| administration, there is
created the Department of Employment |
| 10 |
| Security, under the supervision and
direction of a Director of |
| 11 |
| Employment Security.
The Department of Employment Security |
| 12 |
| shall administer programs for
unemployment compensation and a |
| 13 |
| State employment service. The Director
shall determine all |
| 14 |
| questions of
general policy, promulgate rules and regulations |
| 15 |
| and be responsible for the
administration of this Act. |
