| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Commander John |
| 4 |
| Schwartz and the members of Oswego American Legion Post 675 on |
| 5 |
| the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Post; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The anniversary will be celebrated on November 8, |
| 7 |
| 2008; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Over their history, American Legion Post 675 has |
| 9 |
| contributed to the community in many ways, including a memorial |
| 10 |
| dedicated to listing the sacrifices and accomplishments of |
| 11 |
| veterans of the area; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The Post continues to participate in parades, |
| 13 |
| provide honor guards for veterans' funerals, teaches flag |
| 14 |
| etiquette and patriotism in the schools, conducts an annual |
| 15 |
| oratorical contest in the two Oswego High Schools, annually |
| 16 |
| co-sponsors the Senior Health Fair, and participates in many |
| 17 |
| other community and veteran-related events; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| congratulate the many people who make up American Legion Post |
| 21 |
| 675 and wish them all the best in their continued endeavors to |
