HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Centralia 
4
Orphans Golf Team on a great season; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, The team set tournament records in three different 
6
tournaments this year; they won six out of the nine tournaments 
7
they played in; they set a school record for a nine-hole match 
8
with 133; and they won the South 7 Conference for the fifth 
9
straight year; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, In addition, the Orphans won the Illinois High 
11
School Association regionals for the third straight year; the 
12
medalist for each regional was from the Orphans team; they won 
13
the Illinois High School Association sectional in addition to 
14
an Orphan being the medalist; and they placed second in the 
15
Illinois High School Association State tournament; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller and Michael Fowler were both named 
17
All-State players; and
 
18
    WHEREAS, The Orphans ended the season with an impressive 
19
record of fifteen wins and zero losses; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, The Coach of the Orphans is John Sallee; the

Assistant Coach is Jeff Skillette; and

    WHEREAS, The members of the Centralia Orphans Golf Team are

Bobby Cook, Trevor DeVore, Kenny Evischi, Michael Fowler, 
4
Anthony Harting, Derrick Holmes, Jeffrey Miller, and Will 
5
Miller; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8
congratulate the Centralia Orphans Golf Team and wish them 
9
continued success in their future endeavors; and be it further

 
10
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Coach John Sallee and the Centralia Orphans Golf 
12
Team as a symbol of our respect.
