| WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy |

| Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle |
4 |
| Scout; and
|

| WHEREAS, Timothy Bates of Boy Scout Troop 73, in Grayslake, |
6 |
| will receive the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor soon; |
7 |
| and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man |
9 |
| must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a |
10 |
| willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in |
11 |
| camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Timothy was successful in planning, making, and |
13 |
| distributing fine motor boards for hand eye coordination to |
14 |
| SEDOL, the Special Education District of Lake County; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Timothy Bates has been in scouting since he joined |
16 |
| as a Tiger Cub in 1996, and has held the position of Senior |
17 |
| Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Assistant |
18 |
| Patrol Leader; and
|

| WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Timothy joins an elite |

| and honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among its |
