HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4
Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat Basketball Team on the occasion 
5
of winning the 2008 7-1A State Basketball Championship; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat Basketball Team 
7
defeated Marseilles Milton Pope 33-22 to win the 2008 7-1A 
8
State Basketball Championship on February 7, 2008; their 
9
victory gives the team its first State title since 1935; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, The young men of the Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat 
11
Basketball Team finished their outstanding season with a 26-2 
12
record; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat Basketball Team 
14
player Alex Rabe led the team in scoring with 16 points during 
15
the championship game, followed by Cole Hasselbring with 10 
16
points and Beau Anderson with 7 points; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, The members of the Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat 
18
Basketball Team are Alex Rabe, Cole Hasselbring, Beau Anderson, 
19
Trevor Stock, Jacob Marquez, Tyler Blanding, Wyatt Froehling, 
20
Ben Jennings, Josh Marquez, Dylan Reetz, Dan Nowaczyk, Dalton 
21
Kaufmann, and Tyson Rogers; and

    WHEREAS, The dedication and persistence exhibited by  these 
2
young men is worthy of the greatest respect; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate the members of the Cissna Park 7th Grade Wildcat 
6
Basketball Team on the occasion of winning the 2008 7-1A State 
7
Basketball Championship and wish them continued success in the 
8
future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to Coach Vincent Lober as a symbol of our esteem and 
11
respect.
