| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and |
| 4 |
| employees of the Galena Gazette on the occasion of winning the |
| 5 |
| Sam Zito Award of Excellence on March 7, 2008; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Sam Zito Award of Excellence is an annual |
| 7 |
| award named in honor of the longtime sales representative from |
| 8 |
| Crystal Lake, Sam Zito; the award is presented to a weekly |
| 9 |
| newspaper that shows outstanding effort in its advertising; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, In addition to the Sam Zito Trophy win, the Galena |
| 11 |
| Gazette was also awarded 1st place in the Class B Division, |
| 12 |
| which consists of newspapers with a circulation under 8,000; |
| 13 |
| other individual awards included 1st place for Best ad series, |
| 14 |
| Best single house ad, Best shared page, Creative use of one |
| 15 |
| color in an ad, and Best regularly scheduled special section; |
| 16 |
| and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The Galena Gazette's commitment to excellence in |
| 18 |
| both its advertising and journalism is worthy of the greatest |
| 19 |
| respect; therefore, be it
