HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor people in the State who 
4
have shown dedication to their community; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, James M. Adkisson has been a dedicated part of the 
6
Swan Creek Volunteer Fire Department since November of 1959; he 
7
was a Trustee for the R.S.P. & E. Fire Protection District from 
8
May of 1983 to May of 2007; he also served as President of the 
9
R.S.P. & E. Fire Protection District from February of 1991 to 
10
May of 2007; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, For over forty-seven years, James Adkisson has 
12
served the citizens of the R.S.P. & E. Fire Protection 
13
District; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, James Adkisson has always made sure that 
15
firefighters in the district are given the proper education, 
16
and was supportive of the purchase of new equipment; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Over the course of many years, there have many 
18
changes and advancements, and James Adkisson has been able to 
19
change with the times; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, James Adkisson also supervised the building of the

new Fire Station in Swan Creek, which was put into service in 
2
September of 1997; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
thank James M. Adkisson for his hard work and dedication to the 
6
people of the R.S.P. & E. Fire Protection District and the 
7
State of Illinois; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to James M. Adkisson as a symbol of our respect and 
10
esteem.
