HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dr. David Ginsburg 
4
on the occasion of his retirement; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg served as Chief of Nephrology at 
6
Highland Park Hospital, where he practiced medicine for 30 
7
years when his retirement took effect on August 1, 2007; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg has practiced medicine for 40 years 
9
since graduating from the University of Chicago Medical School, 
10
serving as a doctor in the United States Army for two years, 
11
including one year in Vietnam; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg oversaw the creation of the dialysis 
13
program at Highland Park Hospital and created daily dialysis, a 
14
ground-breaking treatment that greatly enhanced the lives of 
15
his patients; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg served as a faculty member of 
17
Northwestern Medical School for three years; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Dr. Ginsburg plans on spending time with his 
19
family, traveling, and perhaps teaching part-time at an area 
20
medical school; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Dr. David Ginsburg on the occasion of his 
4
retirement and we thank him for his many years of providing 
5
medical care for the citizens of Highland Park; and be it 
6
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to Dr. Ginsburg as an expression of our esteem and 
9
with best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
