2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
| ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to honor Charles E. Frank for his | ||||||
4 | leadership, vision, and commitment to the Jewish Community
| ||||||
5 | Centers of Chicago and the entire Jewish community; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Charles E. Frank serves in numerous leadership
| ||||||
7 | roles within the community, having served on the Jewish | ||||||
8 | Community Centers of Chicago Board of Directors for nearly
| ||||||
9 | three decades; he is currently Vice President of the Jewish | ||||||
10 | Community Center's Board and a member of the Jewish Community | ||||||
11 | Center's Executive Committee, and is a member of the Jewish | ||||||
12 | Community Center's Endowment Foundation Board of Directors; | ||||||
13 | and | ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, He has served as General Chairman of the Jewish | ||||||
15 | Community Center's Benefit Campaign, General Chairman of the | ||||||
16 | Jewish Community Center's Heritage Society, General Chairman | ||||||
17 | of the Jewish Community Center's "Z" Frank Apachi Day Camp | ||||||
18 | Committee, and Co-President of the Jewish Community Center | ||||||
19 | North Central Region, and has chaired and served on numerous | ||||||
20 | significant Jewish Community Center planning committees; and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, In addition, Mr. Frank chaired the Jewish United | ||||||
22 | Fund's Automotive Division campaign for two years; his civic |
| |||||||
| |||||||
1 | commitments have included service as Vice President of the | ||||||
2 | Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, member of the YMCA | ||||||
3 | Metropolitan Board of Directors, and member of North Shore
| ||||||
4 | Congregation Israel; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mr. Frank is a Trustee and former officer and
| ||||||
6 | Executive Committee member of the Sierra Club Foundation, and
| ||||||
7 | is a member of the Sierra Club National Advisory Council; he
| ||||||
8 | currently chairs the Sierra Club's Advancement Committee in the | ||||||
9 | Midwest Area; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Mr. Frank is active in numerous community,
| ||||||
11 | political, and environmental organizations; he and his wife are | ||||||
12 | members of the Kenyon College Parents' Advisory Council and | ||||||
13 | Chairs of the Student Affairs Committee; Mr. Frank is President | ||||||
14 | of "Z" Frank Chevrolet and KIA; he earned his B.A. from George | ||||||
15 | Washington University and his M.B.A. from the University of | ||||||
16 | Chicago; and

17 | WHEREAS, He and his wife, Debbie, live in Highland Park and | ||||||
18 | have four children, Nicole, Jana, Zachary, and Melanie; | ||||||
19 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
20 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
21 | NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
22 | honor Charles Frank for his leadership, vision, and commitment |

1 | to the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago and the entire | ||||||
2 | Jewish community; and be it further
| ||||||
3 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| ||||||
4 | presented to Charles Frank as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
5 | admiration.
