| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Bishop McNamara |
4 |
| High School teacher and coach Jim Frogge on being named to the |
5 |
| Illinois High School Football Association's Coaches Hall of |
6 |
| Fame; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Jim Frogge completed his undergraduate degree at |
8 |
| Yale University, where he played football and then completed |
9 |
| his master's work at Northwestern University and Governors |
10 |
| State University; he became a varsity assistant coach in 1978 |
11 |
| after his initial years coaching the junior varsity teams; he |
12 |
| has had many opportunities with other jobs, but he loves |
13 |
| teaching, coaching, and helping to shape the lives of young men |
14 |
| and women; he has been an assistant coach at Bishop McNamara |
15 |
| High School for 33 years; he also is chairman of the school's |
16 |
| science department and teaches chemistry and physics; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Through his methods of preparing players on their |
18 |
| march to championships, Jim Frogge has helped to build Bishop |
19 |
| McNamara High School into a perennial power; concentrating on |
20 |
| defense in his early years, he gradually became more |
21 |
| offense-oriented; he has been affiliated with most of the |
22 |
| McNamara feats and has helped the teams make the state playoffs |
23 |
| 24 times, earn four state football titles, finish undefeated |
