| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives |
3 |
| are pleased to congratulate Julie Lichtenberg on being named |
4 |
| The Altrusa Club Woman of the Year 2007 by the Altrusa |
5 |
| International Club of Elgin, Inc.; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, The award is given annually to a community woman |
7 |
| who is not a member of Altrusa but who exemplifies the Altrusa |
8 |
| keys of Amity, Loyalty, Talent, Reciprocity, Unity, Service,
|
9 |
| and Achievement; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Julie Lichtenberg graduated from Elgin |
11 |
| Community College's nursing program; she earned a BA in |
12 |
| Management and Leadership from Judson College and a MA in |
13 |
| Training and Development from Roosevelt University in 2005; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Julie Lichtenberg has been on the Nursing Advisory |
15 |
| Board at Elgin Community College since 1998; she worked |
16 |
| clinically in the Neonatal Intensive Care for 18 years before |
17 |
| joining Provena Saint Joseph Hospital as a Community Health |
18 |
| Educator in 1998; she currently works as the Director of |
19 |
| Educational Services and Service Excellence at Provena Saint |
20 |
| Joseph Hospital; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, Julie Lichtenberg has been an active member of |
|
|

| many social service agencies; she was an active member of Elgin |
2 |
| Junior Service Board from 1993 to 2001; she volunteered at Well |
3 |
| Child Clinic, served in soup kitchens and volunteered in the |
4 |
| Elgin Junior Service Board Clothing Center, which provided free |
5 |
| clothing for those in need; she was a member of the Elgin |
6 |
| Junior Service Board and an Advisory Board Member of Elgin's |
7 |
| Centro De Informacion; she was a project leader in a group of |
8 |
| seven Elgin Leadership Academy classmates that created |
9 |
| "Caroling and Caring", an event that collected new |
10 |
| underclothing for area children, families, and individuals in |
11 |
| need; she was Allocations Chairperson for Elgin's United Way |
12 |
| Youth Allocations Panel; she was a member of the Special Youth |
13 |
| Foundation from 1999 to 2004; and she is President of the |
14 |
| Fideliter Club in Elgin, the oldest philanthropic organization |
15 |
| in Elgin; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, Julie Lichtenberg and her husband of 27 years, |
17 |
| Bill, have three children; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, Julie Lichtenberg's dedication and kindness |
19 |
| toward the underpriviledged of Elgin makes her truly deserving |
20 |
| of the Altrusa Club Woman of the Year award; therefore, be it
|
21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
22 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

| congratulate Julie Lichtenberg on being named The Altrusa Club |
