| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
3 | was founded in 1994 and is a publicly and privately-supported | ||||||
4 | not-for-profit organization; it was created to significantly | ||||||
5 | raise Illinois worldwide competitiveness by improving the | ||||||
6 | performance of its institutions and businesses; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
8 | has created an award patterned after the Malcolm Baldrige | ||||||
9 | National Quality Award; the award is an annual recognition of | ||||||
10 | Illinois organizations that have demonstrated exemplary | ||||||
11 | approach, deployment, and results in their overall quality | ||||||
12 | systems and processes; it is presented to organizations that | ||||||
13 | serve as role models for quality, customer satisfaction, and | ||||||
14 | performance excellence; and

15 | WHEREAS, The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
16 | has awarded the 2006 Lincoln Gold Award for Achievement of | ||||||
17 | Excellence to Methodist Medical Center of Illinois, Peoria; and | ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
19 | has awarded the 2006 Lincoln Silver Award for Progress Towards | ||||||
20 | Excellence to the following organizations: Delta Dental of | ||||||
21 | Illinois, Lisle; ZF Sales & Service NA, LLC, Vernon Hills; | ||||||
22 | Centegra Health System, Woodstock; Illinois Division of Child |

1 | Support Enforcement, Illinois Department of Healthcare & | ||||||
2 | Family Services, Springfield; Marianjoy Rehabilitation | ||||||
3 | Hospital, Wheaton; and Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur; and

4 | WHEREAS, In addition, three other Illinois organizations | ||||||
5 | were recognized with the 2006 Lincoln Bronze Award for | ||||||
6 | Commitment to Excellence for their earnest efforts to adopt and | ||||||
7 | apply continuous improvement principles; these recipients | ||||||
8 | include the Carle Foundation, Urbana; Serenity Packaging | ||||||
9 | Corporation, St. Charles; and Advanced Technology Service, | ||||||
10 | Inc., Peoria; therefore, be it
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
12 | NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
13 | recognize The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
14 | and its efforts to assist Illinois organizations to strive for | ||||||
15 | performance excellence, and we thank each of the organizations | ||||||
16 | the Foundation has recognized for the devotion to excellence | ||||||
17 | they have demonstrated; and be it further
| ||||||
18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence | ||||||
20 | and each 2006 Performance Excellence Award recipient as an | ||||||
21 | expression of our respect and esteem.
