| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to honor Michaele Skowron on her | ||||||
| 4 | retirement as a Trustee for the Village of Mount Prospect; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Michaele W. Skowron has served as a Trustee on the | ||||||
| 6 | Village Board of Mount Prospect from 1993-1996 and from | ||||||
| 7 | 1999-2007; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has always demonstrated the | ||||||
| 9 | highest degree of integrity, compassion, good judgment, and | ||||||
| 10 | sensitivity in all of her deliberations regarding Village | ||||||
| 11 | issues, thereby providing leadership and direction to her | ||||||
| 12 | fellow Board members; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has been vital to the quality of | ||||||
| 14 | the excellent services provided by the local governments on | ||||||
| 15 | which she has served, and
has been involved in the development | ||||||
| 16 | of Mount Prospect through her service on the Mount Prospect | ||||||
| 17 | Citizen Review Committee of the Comprehensive Plan in 1980 and | ||||||
| 18 | as a member of the Mount Prospect Zoning Board of Appeals from | ||||||
| 19 | 1990 to 1993; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has consistently displayed her | ||||||
| 21 | enthusiasm for her community through service, including as a | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Board member of School District 57 from 1977-1979 and as | ||||||
| 2 | President of the School Board from 1979-1989, serving on the | ||||||
| 3 | Mount Prospect Arts Council Steering Committee, Mount Prospect | ||||||
| 4 | Bicentennial Committee, Mount Prospect 75th Anniversary | ||||||
| 5 | Committee, Mount Prospect Cable Commission, and
as a dedicated | ||||||
| 6 | member of the Mount Prospect Friends of the Library and Mount | ||||||
| 7 | Prospect Historical Society; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Michaele Skowron has worked tirelessly and | ||||||
| 9 | persistently to improve the quality of life for all citizens of | ||||||
| 10 | Mt. Prospect and exemplifies the character of a dedicated and | ||||||
| 11 | caring public servant; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 13 | NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 14 | congratulate Mount Prospect Village Trustee Michaele W. | ||||||
| 15 | Skowron on the occasion of her retirement and thank her for her | ||||||
| 16 | dedication to the citizens of Mount Prospect; and be it further
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to Michaele W. Skowron as a token of our respect and | ||||||
| 19 | esteem with best wishes for an enjoyable and
fulfilling | ||||||
| 20 | retirement.
