| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Fred Bradshaw of |
| 4 |
| Griggsville for his many contributions to the rural economic |
| 5 |
| development of western Illinois and being honored by the |
| 6 |
| College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences |
| 7 |
| (ACES) and the ACES Alumni Association at the University of |
| 8 |
| Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He has been a farm owner and operator for over 40 |
| 10 |
| years, in partnership with his brother, Harvey in grain and |
| 11 |
| livestock farming; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He is the Two Rivers RC & D Director and has |
| 13 |
| served from 1972 to the present, and has served as Chairman for |
| 14 |
| several nonconsecutive terms; he is the Director and a founding |
| 15 |
| member of Orr Research and Demonstration Center Corporation, |
| 16 |
| 1972 to the present, as well as Past Chairman and Executive |
| 17 |
| Director; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, His contributions to rural economic development |
| 19 |
| include: University of Illinois, College of Agriculture |
| 20 |
| Advisory Board, past member;
Farm Credit Services Director, |
| 21 |
| 1980-1992, Chairman of Board, 1991-1992; Pike County Farm |
| 22 |
| Bureau, member since 1964, Director 1990-present; Illinois |

| 1999-2007; and Griggsville Rural Fire District Board, |

| 1994-present, current Treasurer;
and

| WHEREAS, He is a member of the Griggsville United Methodist |
| 7 |
| Church and the Griggsville Masonic Lodge; he has served with |
| 8 |
| the Pike County Republican Central Committee as Vice Chairman |
| 9 |
| for 20 years and is presently a precinct committeeman; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Fred Bradshaw received the Two Rivers RC & D |
| 11 |
| Service Award in 1992; and the Gamma Sigma Delta, University of |
| 12 |
| Illinois, Award of Merit in 1986; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He is a 1962 graduate of Western Illinois |
| 14 |
| University with a Bachelor's of Science degree; he served in |
| 15 |
| the
United States Army from 1955-57; he and his wife, Carole, |
| 16 |
| have been married 37 years; they have three sons, Jeffrey |
| 17 |
| Bradshaw (wife, Teresa), and granddaughters Jalyn and |
| 18 |
| Samantha; Eric Bradshaw (wife, Tara) and grandson Jacob; and |
| 19 |
| Matthew Bradshaw (wife, Lori) and grandsons Wesley, Cody, and |
| 20 |
| Kyle; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 22 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
