| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to honor Mayor Ross Ferraro of |
| 4 |
| Carol Stream as he retires after 20 years of service to the |
| 5 |
| community; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mayor Ferraro worked tirelessly for the people of |
| 7 |
| Carol Stream on the local, State, and federal levels to ensure |
| 8 |
| that the needs of cities across the country were advanced; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mayor Ferraro was the 1995-96 President of the |
| 10 |
| DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference; he is a past-Chairman of |
| 11 |
| DuPage Communications (DUCOMM) and a former Secretary of the |
| 12 |
| Illinois Tax Increment Association; he has been a member of the |
| 13 |
| National League of Cities Steering Committee for Crime |
| 14 |
| Prevention and Public Safety since 1996 and serves on the Small |
| 15 |
| Cities Council; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He is a member of the United States Conference of |
| 17 |
| Mayors Criminal and Social Justice Committee; and a member of |
| 18 |
| the Drug Control Task Force, the Electric Utility Restructuring |
| 19 |
| Task Force, the International Affairs Standing Committee, and |
| 20 |
| the DuPage Water Commission Municipal Board; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, The people of Carol Stream will miss the hard work |
