| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois General Assembly take |
| 3 |
| pride in honoring those who dedicate themselves to the |
| 4 |
| preservation of American values; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The freedoms that we enjoy today as United States |
| 6 |
| citizens are the result of the dedication and sacrifices of |
| 7 |
| United States Armed Forces veterans of all wars and conflicts; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Illinois General Assembly wishes to continue |
| 10 |
| its support for these brave men and women through the naming of |
| 11 |
| a portion of Illinois Route 150 in a way that honors our |
| 12 |
| veterans; therefore, be it
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 15 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the section of Illinois Route |
| 16 |
| 150 from Turkeyfarm Road (CR200E) through the Village of |
| 17 |
| Mahomet to Prairieview Road (CR520E) be designated as Veterans |
| 18 |
| Parkway in honor of the great sacrifices that our veterans have |
| 19 |
| made for our nation; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation |
| 21 |
| is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with |
